Lucy Pargeter has promised 'Emmerdale' fans a "brilliant" summer.
The 36-year-old actress - who plays Chas Spencer - says soap bosses are currently working on a series of shocking storylines that will play out over the coming months.
She said: "There's going to be more complications, more heartache, more trauma - it's a brilliant summer coming up."
Lucy's alter ego is currently unaware her lover Cameron Murray (Dominic Power) is a double murderer, whose victims include Carl King, and the actress promised their relationship will get more disturbing.
She said: "It's only going to get more complicated, more worrying, more dangerous and more heartbreaking."
'Emmerdale' marked its 40th anniversary last October with a special live episode and Lucy has promised the date will be celebrated again this year with "something massive".
She added: "I know there's something massive coming around our anniversary time in October as well. We have to follow up with last year with something as big this year."
Though it is unlikely the soap will broadcast another live episode this year, the brunette beauty would love them to do so again.
She said: "It was terrifying leading up to it but when we did it it was just a massive adrenaline buzz. If they said we're doing it again, I'd be the first one to put my hand up."
