Bruce Forsyth confirms Strictly Come Dancing return
Sir Bruce Forsyth has finally quashed speculation he might leave 'Strictly Come Dancing' by confirming he is returning to present the BBC One show for its 11th series
Sir Bruce Forsyth has confirmed he is returning to 'Strictly Come Dancing'.
The 85-year-old presenter has finally quashed speculation he might not be back on the programme by revealing he is "definitely" going to co-host the 11th series this year alongside Tess Daly, and is looking forward to meeting with BBC bosses next week to discuss the show's future at its new studios.
He exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "I'm definitely going to do 'Strictly' again. I've got a meeting with them but it's more or less organised.
"The meeting will mostly be about where we are going to be, where the new studios will be. I would like to see the plans for that and see exactly how many people we are going to get in. I want to get into all that."
Bruce is desperate for 'Strictly' to move to pastures new in a bid for the show to attract an even bigger studio audience and gain a new "lease of life".
He added: "I hope we are going to a new studio now where we will get more people in because it needs more people. The show has always needed a bigger audience and a bigger atmosphere. I'm hoping that will help the show and that will give the show another lease of life."
Bruce is returning to the stage for the first time in more than 10 years later this month for a spectacular performance of comedy and music in Manchester, Birmingham and London.
Bruce's theatre tour dates:
May 23, 2013 - The Lowry, Salford Quays, Manchester
May 30, 2013 - Symphony Hall, Birmingham
June 3, 2013 - Royal Albert Hall, London
