Jo Joyner shot her final 'EastEnders' scenes yesterday (16.05.13).
The 35-year-old actress - who announced earlier this year she was departing her role of Tanya Cross after almost seven years - paid tribute to her co-star Jake Wood, who plays her former husband Max Branning, as she bowed out of the soap.
She tweeted: "That's a wrap! I am officially 'that woman that use to play thingy in 'Enders'!"
"Thanks to the lovely @mrjakedwood for such a special time x. (sic)"
Though her exit details have not been revealed, Jo promised it will be "poignant", and praised the soap's writing team.
She wrote: "It was great, such fantastic writing, classic, poignant x (sic)"
Posting on his own Twitter page, Jake shared a picture of himself and his friend on her last day.
Alongside the image, he wrote: "So here's me and Jo after filming our last scene together this morning...gonna miss you @dollyjoyner x. (sic)"
Jo's character, a mother of three, has had a turbulent love life in the soap, seeing her divorce Max, date his brother Jack (Scott Maslen) and marry Greg Jessop (Stefan Booth), only to then have an affair with Max again. The characters had planned to re-marry on Christmas Day last year (25.12.12), but it fell through when it then emerged Max had secretly married Kirsty Branning (Kierston Wareing).
