Steven Moffat promises Doctor Who anniversary clip
Steven Moffat has vowed to let the BBC show a clip of the 'Doctor Who' 50th anniversary special at the end of Saturday's episode as long as fans don't leak spoilers of the finale.
Steven Moffat has promised 'Doctor Who' fans a clip of the 50th anniversary special as long as they don't leak spoilers of Saturday's (18.05.13) episode.
The showrunner is desperate to keep details of the forthcoming episode, 'The Name of the Doctor', a secret after an error by BBC America saw the box sets of the whole series sent to fans before the final episode has been broadcast.
Should Whovians keep to their part of the deal then Steven will allow the BBC to show a clip of Matt Smith, who plays the current Time Lord, and David Tennant, who was the 10th Doctor, starring in the 50th anniversary at the end Saturday's finale.
'The Name of the Doctor' will reveal the real identity of Clara Oswald - who is played by Jenna-Louise Coleman - and the name of the titular Time Lord (Matt Smith) as well as the Doctor's biggest ever secret, and Steven insists fans won't be left "empty handed" after tuning in.
He told BANG Showbiz: "You are going to get some answers and I know I'm guilty sometimes of making you wait for a very long time but you actually are going to get some. You won't leave empty handed. I won't just say, 'Oh, we'll tell you next time.' Not completely anyway, you've got to leave something out. There's always something."
