Dermot O'Leary thinks Sharon Osbourne will "bring out the best" in Louis Walsh on 'The X Factor'.
The presenter of the talent show is backing the 'Talk' co-host - who is strongly rumoured to be returning to the programme, which she starred on from 2004 to 2007 - to return to the panel for this year's 10th series because he thinks she's the "grand dame" of 'The X Factor'.
Speaking at the Arqiva British Academy Television Awards at London's Royal Festival Hall, he told BANG Showbiz: "She brings the best out of Louis. It would be terrific to have her back, she's the best. She's such a lady. She's the grand dame of the whole thing. For the 10th year for her to be back, of course it would be brilliant."
Sharon has reportedly signed a £1.8 million deal - including a £1.5 million salary and £300,000 of first class flights between Los Angeles and the UK - to return to the show, while Louis has also reportedly signed a new contract for his 10th series on the programme, but is said to have refused a pay rise on his £1 million deal.
Speculation is rife surrounding the other judging spots with Nicole Scherzinger believed to have signed a £1.5 million deal for her second series on the show, doubling her money after triumphing last year when James Arthur won the competition.
Head judge Gary Barlow is said to still be negotiating a £1.5 million deal to return for a third year, while Tulisa has reportedly been axed.
