Emmerdale's Natalie Anderson: Husband is fine with kissing
'Emmerdale' star Natalie Anderson insists her husband James Shepherd doesn't get jealous over her TV love scenes.
'Emmerdale' star Natalie Anderson insists her husband is "not bothered" about her kissing scenes.
The actress - who plays single mother Alicia Metcalfe in the soap - has had several intimate scenes with Matthew Wolfenden, who portrays David Metcalfe, but she insists her screen smooches don't worry her husband James Shepherd.
She said: "Honestly, he's the most not-bothered person ever!"
Natalie and James are close friends with Matthew and his fiancée, 'Emmerdale' actress Charley Webb, and she insists even going for dinner as a quartet after she and the actor have filmed romantic scenes doesn't feel awkward.
Speaking in this week's issue of new! magazine, she said: "We're really good mates in real life and I get on brilliantly with Charley. Matthew gets on with my husband too, and we all go for dinner together.
"[Having dinner after a kissing scene] has only happened the once, a couple of weeks ago, but I don't think it would be awkward anyway because Charley works with us and James knows what we do is just a job."
However, Natalie believes it is unlikely she and Matthew will enjoy any more intimate moments as his character's romance with Priya Sharma (Fiona Wade).
She said: "It's sad, but I think it might be the end of the road for David and Alicia. David's back with Priya and Alicia's on a new path, but they'll always have their history."
