Spencer Matthews has confirmed he is dating Lucy Watson.

The 'Made in Chelsea' hunk - who has come under fire on the E4 reality show for cheating on ex-girlfriend Louise Thompson - arrived at the Arqiva British Academy Television Awards with his co-star last night (12.05.13) and admitted the couple are "very happy" in their new relationship.

Speaking at the event at London's Royal Festival Hall, he told BANG Showbiz: "Lucy and I are dating, we are very happy at the moment and we are just going to see how it goes."

The lothario had cause for a double celebration by the end of the evening as 'Made in Chelsea' picked up the Reality and Constructed Factual BAFTA, beating off competition from 'I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!', 'Young Apprentice' and 'The Audience' in a shock win.

It's not the first time Spencer has been stunned recently as he admitted to being "shocked" by viewers' reactions to his womanising ways on the show.

He added: "It can come as a bit of a shock if you suddenly go from being very popular to very disliked. If you watch the end of the series then you will see there's a lot of stuff ahead for us. It's only just begun.

"Lucy is very frank and very honest. I feel confident that when she says something it is the truth, which is quite rare nowadays. People just talk a load of s**t."

Lucy has also come under fire on the show, but insists she can handle the flack and enjoys everyone's "passion" for the programme.

She added: "I've just embrace all the criticism, everyone is entitled to their opinion. I've just found everyone gets so into it, it's a TV show and everyone is so passionate about it and that's what's great about the show."

What's more, Spencer's ex Louise also appeared to confirm she has moved on from him by arriving at the event with fellow 'Made in Chelsea' star Andy Jordan, who she is rumoured to be dating.
