Ricky Gervais is bringing back David Brent for a series of online specials.
The 51-year-old actor - who recently reprised his role as the cringeworthy Wenham-Hogg boss he played in 'The Office' for a Comic Relief sketch - will play the "deluded entertainer" in monthly YouTube episodes that see his hapless alter ego giving musical tips.
'Learn Guitar with David Brent' - which begins in June - will see the character introduce an album's worth of new songs, talk about the inspiration behind them and tell his life story, with each episode also featuring complete versions of his self-penned songs.
Meanwhile, Ricky has decided to end his animated Channel 4 programme 'The Ricky Gervais Show' because he fears its quality will decline if it goes on any longer.
He said: "Why have I knocked it on the head? Well, apart from the fact that I have a very short attention span, we actually made more episodes of 'The Ricky Gervais Show' than anything else I've ever done.
"I also think we used all the best bits and I wouldn't want the quality to go down.
"I was thinking of recording brand new audio at one time but then I realised that it wouldn't be the same.
"I am so proud of 'The Ricky Gervais Show'. Not just because of how well it turned out or how successful it was, or the awards, or even how much fun I had producing it.
"I'm proudest of the fact that it was just another experiment that got out of hand."
