Hollyoaks' Lynsey to return as a ghost
Former 'Hollyoaks' actress Karen Hassan has returned to the soap's set to film new scenes as Lynsey Nolan, who will return as a ghost in a spooky new storyline this summer
'Hollyoaks' character Lynsey Nolan will come back as a ghost.
Actress Karen Hassan has returned to the Channel 4 soap's set to film new scenes as the feisty character - who was murdered by Doctor Paul Browning (Joe Thompson) in a shocking plot twist last year - which will air this summer.
Although details about the character's brief return are being kept under wraps, it's thought Lynsey will appear as a vision or a ghost in a spooky new storyline which sees Paul's fiancée Mercedes Fisher (Jennifer Metcalfe) book their wedding on the first anniversary of her death.
An insider told Digital Spy: "Lynsey was one of our most popular characters, so it's been great to have Karen back on set again.
"The producers are keeping tight-lipped about the exact reasons for her return, but with the first anniversary of Lynsey's death approaching, it's very likely that Browning will be involved."
'Hollyoaks' fans were shocked by Lynsey's death last June as producers kept the actress' exit under wraps until the episode aired.
Karen first appeared in 'Hollyoaks Later' in 2008, before joining the main soap in 2010.
Her on-screen alter-ego is perhaps best remembered for thwarting evil serial killer Silas Blissett (Jeff Rawle).
