Liam Gallagher to quit if Beady Eye flop?
Liam Gallagher has hinted he may quit music if Beady Eye's second album, 'BE', isn't a success.
Liam Gallagher may quit music if 'BE' isn't a success.
The Beady Eye frontman - who also has his own clothing line, Pretty Green - was upset when sales of his band's debut album, 'Different Gear, Still Speeding', weren't as high as he'd hoped, and says if the follow-up doesn't do well, he may walk away to "enjoy life".
He told Q magazine: "If we're barking up the wrong tree with this record, I don't know if I can be arsed barking up it again.
"I'll never be a plumber, I'll never be a fashion designer.
"Maybe I'd just sail off into the distance and enjoy my life, instead of worrying about what some spotty little t**t from Hastings thinks about the record."
Despite his disappointment at the sales of 'Different Gear, Still Speeding', Liam believes the album would never have done particularly well because fans were so upset about the demise of his former group Oasis.
He said: "Maybe it was rushed, but we could have put anything out and it wouldn't have connected. People were still on a downer, in shock, p**sed off, gutted - just thinking 'F**k this lot.'
"Towards the end of Oasis, it was just the same old Sunday roast. Like, 'Uh-oh, here we go again.' But a Sunday roast is a Sunday roast, you can't change the ingredients."
