Alesha Dixon to host new Stars in Their Eyes-style show
Alesha Dixon has signed on to host ITV's new Saturday night primetime show 'Your Face Sounds Familiar', which will feature celebrities dressing up as popstars.
Alesha Dixon is set to host ITV's 'Your Face Sounds Familiar'.
The 'Britain's Got Talent' judge will front a new Saturday night primetime programme, which is thought to be similar to popular 1990s TV talent show 'Stars in Their Eyes' - which saw contestants impersonate famous singers - but it will feature celebrities dressing up as popstars.
The 34-year-old star is "thrilled" with landing her own show, which will boast a judging panel that includes 'Celebrity Big Brother' winner Julian Clary and Spice Girl Emma Bunton.
'Your Face Sounds Familiar' comes from Endemol, the production company behind 'Big Brother', and will feature seven celebrity contestants dressing up and performing as top stars such as Lady Gaga, Beyonce and Elvis Presley, on a weekly basis.
The contestants will be critiqued and scored by the judges each week, but the eventual winner will be chosen via public vote and a cash prize will be donated to charity.
A source told the Daily Star newspaper: "ITV are confident they have a hit on their hands."
The show is expected to run between June and July on ITV after Alesha finishes working on the latest series of 'Britain's Got Talent'.
