Alexander Skarsgard tipped for The Crow
Alexander Skarsgard has been tipped to star in Relativity Media's remake of 'The Crow'
Alexander Skarsgard could star in 'The Crow' remake.
The 'True Blood' actor is reportedly the hot favourite to play the vengeful comic book character, despite recent reports that 'Thor' and 'The Avengers' star Tom Hiddleston was in talks for the role.
Hiddleston met with producers for the film and reportedly took part in a make-up test for the character, but Deadline denies the actor is in the mix, claiming a "simple conversation has been overhyped and reported like it was going to happen."
Skarsgard, meanwhile, has been tipped as the likely candidate for the role, and although no formal offer has been made yet, the role is his for the taking if he wants it, according to Deadline.
The film is being produced by Relativity Media with F. Javier Gutierrez signed on as director.
The flick would be a remake of an earlier 1994 film which starred Bruce Lee's son, Brandon Lee, as a man who returns from the dead to seek revenge on his killers.
The Swedish actor was set to star in 'Harry Potter' director David Yates' big budget adaptation of 'Tarzan', but movie studio Warner Bros. halted the project after it went over budget.
The film would have seen Skarsgard play the iconic tree-hopping hunk, while 'Zero Dark Thirty' actress Jessica Chastain was in talks to play his flame-haired love interest, Jane.
