Jennifer Garner is in talks to star in Disney's next family movie.
The 'Odd Life of Timothy Green' actress is in negotiations with the movie studio to star alongside Steve Carrell in an adaptation of popular children's book, 'Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day', according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The storybook, which was written by Judith Viorst, is about a boy who has a bad day and discovers that other people can have them too.
The film, however, will deviate slightly and centre on a boy who has a bad day and makes a magical wish that his family could suffer the same symptoms.
Garner would play Alexander's mother, while Carrell has already signed on to star as the boy's father.
The family movie's script was written by Lisa Cholodenko and Rob Leiber, and Miguel Arteta is set to direct.
Shawn Levy and Dan Levine are producing through their production company, 21 Laps.
Garner will next star alongside Matthew McConaughey in 'Dallas Buyers' Club', in which the latter plays an AIDS victim.
The actress recently supported her husband Ben Affleck during awards season, where he picked up numerous awards for 'Argo', including Best Picture at the Academy Awards in February.
