Guy Pearce was "nervous" about working with Robert Downey Jr.
The actor - who plays the nefarious Aldrich Killian in 'Iron Man 3' - has admitted he was worried that his co-star in the superhero flick would be difficult to work with.
In an interview with Sydney Morning Herald, he said: "I was a bit nervous that he might have been a bit of a firecracker and he was never going to listen to anything anyone said. I thought, 'Wow, this guy's a genius, he's not even going to notice I'm there.' But it was the complete opposite.
"And it's not like he's sold out and he's playing some schlocky superhero and he's doing it badly. He's brought this incredible skill to a role that somebody else might be bland with."
Meanwhile, director Shane Black recently commented that he is "sure" Downey - who reprises his role as billionaire superhero Tony Stark for a fourth time - will return to make a new 'Iron Man' film, despite his contract with Marvel Studios reportedly ending.
Black told BANG Showbiz: "I think he'll be back for another one. I'm sure of it."
'Iron Man 3' is in cinemas on April 26.
