Eddie Izzard joins Jekyll and Hyde drama
Comedian Eddie Izzard has joined the cast of a brand new Jekyll and Hyde' drama, set to be produced by Buccaneer Media
Eddie Izzard will star in a new 'Jekyll and Hyde' drama.
The comedian has been cast in a brand new series inspired by Robert Louis Stevenson's 1886 classic tale, 'Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr. Hyde'.
The infamous novella tells the story of physician Dr Jekyll, who believes that within each man is a good and evil being. During his experiments, he develops a drug which makes him morph into violent beast Mr. Hyde.
'Hollyoaks' creative director Tony Wood and Cineflix Studios have teamed up to launch new independent production company Buccaneer Media, which will make the show.
Tony said in a statement: "Launching Buccaneer is a hugely exciting move for me. Our ambition is to build a globally focused company producing everything from family entertainment to high quality drama and structured reality rooted in the social media landscape.
"But at its heart, Buccaneer will have a simple philosophy: compelling characters, strong narratives and emotional underpinning all combining to create the most engaging television for as many audiences as possible."
Eddie has been cast in another horror series recently, landing a part in American NBC drama 'Hannibal'.
