Jessica Raine has joined the cast of 'Line of Duty'.
The 'Call The Midwife' actress and fellow newcomers Keeley Hawes and Robert Lindsay will star in the second series of the BBC Two police drama alongside returning cast members Vicky McClure, Martin Compston and Adrian Dunbar.
Jed Mercurio, writer and executive producer, said: "I was thrilled by the success of series one, and I'm hugely grateful for the opportunity to create another six hours of twists and turns as our returning investigators delve into a brand-new story of police corruption."
The show - which is BBC Two's most popular police series in 10 years - is going to be split into six hour-long episodes, and "promises to be another riveting thriller", according to network controller Janice Hadlow.
Keeley is set to play DI Lindsay Denton, the only surviving officer after a convoy is ambushed, and is looking forward to getting stuck into the "incredible" scripts.
She said: "I'm thrilled to be joining the cast of 'Line of Duty', and after reading Jed's incredible scripts I can't wait to take my character, DI Lindsay Denton, on the epic journey he has created for her.
"I loved the first series, so it's a real pleasure to be part of series two and working alongside such talented actors like Vicky McClure, Martin Compston and Robert Lindsay."
