Meat Loaf had to call off a concert for health reasons just 30 minutes before doors opened last night (14.04.13).
The 'Bat Out of Hell' hitmaker scrapped his concert at the Capital FM Arena in Nottingham, Central England - part of his 'Last At Bat' farewell tour - due to "medical reasons afflicting several members of the band".
Meat immediately took to his Facebook account to apologise for the postponement, writing: "NOTTINGHAM: We are very sorry to announce that tonight's performance has had to be postponed due to medical reasons afflicting several members of the band. (sic)"
While it is not known which members of the group were unable to perform, the gig has now been rescheduled for May 20th at the same venue.
The 65-year-old star added: "WE WILL BE BACK THOUGH AND WILL BE BACK MONDAY MAY 20th 2013 (sic).
"Please retain your original tickets, If for any reason you cannot attend, please contact the point of sale from tomorrow morning Monday 15 April (sic).
"Meat and everyone in the band and crew send love and apologies and thanks you for understanding. MLH xxx (sic)"
In July 2011, Meat Loaf collapsed onstage twice in three days, initially blaming his asthma before revealing his blackouts had been the results of 18 past concussion injuries.
Last week, the singer cried on stage as he performed his Last at Bat show in London.
He told the crowd: "It is 2013 and 'Bat Out of Hell' came in at number nine. It tied its highest position which was March 1978. I have no explanation other than that you love that record with incredible passion. What that means is that this record doesn't belong to me, or Jimmy [songwriter Jim Steinman], it belongs to you ... The flip side was that so many people hated that record with incredible passion.
"I just want to say to you thank you, thank you very, very much. I can't say what it means to see all if you here tonight. It's incredible."
