Ryan Gosling protected Eva Mendes
Ryan Gosling things guys have a "responsibility" to protect their female co-stars' modesty when filming nude scenes.
Ryan Gosling made sure he covered up his girlfriend Eva Mendes' naked body when they filmed 'The Place Beyond the Pines'.
The actor admits shooting intimate scenes are "nerve-wracking" but he tries to be chivalrous and protect the modesty of his female co-stars.
Speaking of the scene he shares with Eva in their new movie, he said: "It was nerve wracking, because there is a lot of responsibility on the guy. It's usually our job to keep the girl covered. If they're naked you're trying to block them with your arm, and then they move. You are always conscious of blocking them."
The 'Gangster Squad' actor also admitted he used to take regular ballet classes just a few years ago but stopped because he was terrible and people couldn't resist sneaking pictures of him during the sessions.
He added to heat magazine: "I used to do it, but I was terrible. Plus, people started filming me with their phones and I was like, 'I can't go to this class anymore.' I think ballet was done with me though."
'The Place Beyond the Pines' is released later this month.
