Simon Cowell wants own documentary
Simon Cowell says he would love to create a documentary all about himself, and admits a 'Making of Britain's Got Talent' would also be a welcome addition to the TV listings
Simon Cowell wants to create a new documentary show - about himself.
The music mogul is keen to have a whole programme dedicated to his personal life and joked he has even considered making such a show purely for himself, but admitted he would also like to see a 'Making of Britain's Got Talent' programme created.
He said: "I was considering doing 'A Year in the Life of Me', seriously. I was just going to make it for myself.
"I think it's a good idea to possibly do a 'Making of Britain's Got Talent' show because I think a lot of the stuff you don't see is as interesting as what you do see. It's a big job."
The 'BGT' judge - who sits alongside Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and David Walliams on the panel of the show - paid tribute to the production team behind the programme for making sure is still popular with the public, and admitted he didn't expect the show to last until 2013.
Speaking at a Q&A to launch the seventh series of 'Britain's Got Talent' - which starts on ITV tomorrow (13.04.13) - he told BANG Showbiz: "When we first made this show if you had told me I would be sitting here on season seven I would have pinched myself.
"Credit to the guys who make the show, they just make a great show. The show is as much about people as it is about talent.
"If you didn't know their back stories or you didn't like them and they were just acts then I think the show would be boring. But they always seem to do a good job of finding people you root for.
"And we live in a world where everybody wants to be famous now and I think that's quite fun."
