Nicole Scherzinger 'torn' over X Factor decision
Nicole Scherzinger is not sure whether to rejoin 'The X Factor' as a judge because she needs to "focus" on her forthcoming album.
Nicole Scherzinger is "so torn" about whether or not to sign up for 'The X Factor' again.
Show bosses face a battle to keep the 34-year-old singer - who won last year's series with James Arthur - after she told friends she might need to focus her attention on her forthcoming album instead of rejoining the ITV programme as a judge.
The brunette beauty - who has been made a "generous" offer, which is reported to be around £1 million, to return to 'The X Factor' - told a pal: "I'm so torn right now. My heart wants me to come back and do the show as I had such a great time last year.
"But my album is coming out and I also need to focus on that.
"I don't think I can make it work. By trying to juggle the two, one or both will suffer."
The former Pussycat Doll is also said to be concerned fans might get angry with her if she returns to the show and then has to fly to the US to promote her new record during the week after Kelly Rowland - who was a judge on the eighth series in 2011 - had to miss a live show when she was unable to fly back from the US due to a throat infection.
According to The Sun newspaper, Nicole added to her friend: "I recall Kelly getting some harsh criticism when she went back to LA and missed a show. I don't want that to happen to me, as I love working with my acts. That's what made it so special."
Gary Barlow and Louis Walsh are rumoured to be rejoining the show, but fellow judge Tulisa has reportedly been axed with former panellist Sharon Osbourne favourite to replace her.
