Harry Styles' ex-girlfriend auditions for The Voice
Harry Styles' ex-girlfriend Katie Smith, who dated the One Direction star during the early stages of 'The X Factor' in 2010, has audition for singing show 'The Voice' with her new boyfriend Harry.
Harry Styles' ex-girlfriend has auditioned for 'The Voice'.
Katie Smith - who had a brief romance with the One Direction lothario when the pair were on 'The X Factor' in 2010 - is set to appear on the BBC show on Saturday (06.04.13) with her new boyfriend, who is also called Harry and sports a similar curly hairstyle.
The 19-year-old singer famously made it through to the finals of 'The X Factor' with his band - also made up of Niall Horan, Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson and Zayn Malik - but Katie's journey was cut short after the boot camp stage.
A source told The Sun newspaper: "Katie can claim to have had Harry's eye before he was famous. He was smitten with her for ages and they used to flirt all the time on the show."
"'The Xtra Factor' even picked up on it and arranged a date for them. It was a puppy love thing but was destined to end abruptly as she didn't make it to the live shows.
"Who knows, maybe he will watch the show on Saturday and feel an urge to give her a call?"
The couple perform a duet to Paolo Nutini's 'Candy' for judges Sir Tom Jones, Jessie J, Danny O'Donoghue and will.i.am in an attempt to make it through to the second round.
Katie isn't the first former 'X Factor' contestant to rehearse for the competition and other former pop stars have also jumped on the bandwagon in a bid to reclaim their fame.
Cleo Higgins from Cleopatra and Hear'Say's Danny Foster, who both appeared on programme 'Popstars' in 2001, have auditioned and one hit wonder Kavana - who shot to fame with his 1997 track 'I Can Make You Feel Good' - was dismissed in last weekend's auditions.
