Nigel Harman and Samantha Womack have joined the cast of 'Mount Pleasant'.

The 'EastEnders' veterans will appear in the third series of the popular Sky Living comedy drama alongside Sally Lindsay, Daniel Ryan, Sian Reeves, James Dreyfus, George Sampson, Paula Wilcox, David Bradley and Bobby Ball.

Glamorous couple Tanya (Samantha) and Bradley (Nigel) are set to shake things up when they move to The Close with teenage daughter Ella (Nicola Millbank).

Their fun-loving spirit is a hit in the neighbourhood and they soon find themselves being the life and soul of the party, but their perfect façade masks a darker secret.

Nigel said: "Bradley's a great character, a real wide boy whose clearly got something to hide. He and Tanya are definitely going to stir things up in Mount Pleasant but whether that's for the better or worse you'll have to wait and see."

Samantha added: "I'm thrilled to be joining the cast of 'Mount Pleasant', such a popular and well-loved series. I can't wait to get stuck in to playing the part of Tanya who is sure to create some waves in The Close."

Meanwhile, Dan (Daniel Ryan) and Lisa's (Sally Lindsay) relationship is on the rocks as Lisa begins to feel neglected by her man and turns to her hunky business partner Fergus (Neil Fitzmaurice).

'Mount Pleasant' series three is broadcast this summer.
