Anne Hathaway in talks for comedy Laggies
Anne Hathaway has entered negotiations to play a woman who refuses to grow up in Lynn Shelton's new comedy 'Laggies'.
Anne Hathaway is in talks to star in 'Laggies'.
The Oscar-winning actress has opted to make Lynn Shelton's coming-of-age comedy her next move after her stellar turn in 'Les Miserables' and will join an A-list cast including Sam Rockwell and Chloe Moretz, Deadline reports.
Anne is due to play 28-year-old Megan, who gets spooked by her boyfriend's marriage proposal and panics, pretending to go on a career retreat. In reality, she spends an entire week hanging out with a new group of friends - who are all of high school age - and getting into all kinds of teenage trouble.
Chloe will play Anne's character's 16-year-old new best friend, Annika, while 'Seven Psychopaths' star Sam is expected to play an older character named Craig.
Paul Rudd was previously attached to the project, but 'The End Of Love' actor Mark Webber is now thought to be negotiating a role as the boyfriend.
Chloe shared her excitement on Twitter, posting: "Thank you to Lynn for letting me do this awesome movie with Annie :) I'm so excited to do this :)"
The comedy has been penned by Andrea Seigel and Steve Golin, Alix Madigan and Rosalie Swedlin are on board to produce for Anonymous Content.
