The Rolling Stones are set to headline Glastonbury this year.
The British rockers have confirmed they will perform at the annual festival, which will take place from June 28 to June 30, for the first time after recently returning from a six-year hiatus for a series of concerts to celebrate their 50th anniversary together.
News of their upcoming performance on the legendary Pyramid Stage was revealed on Wednesday (27.03.13) when the festival's full line-up was unveiled on its official website.
The band also confirmed they will play on Saturday, June 29 on their official website and frontman Sir Mick Jagger took to Twitter to express his excitement, writing: "Can't wait to play Glastonbury. I have my wellies and my yurt!"
Guitarist Keith Richards also tweeted: "We all had such a ball last year, and the energy between the band is so good. We can't wait to play Glastonbury, see you on a summer's day in England!"
The band was previously reported to have been offered £1 million to perform.
Jagger recently said: "Glastonbury is very important. It seems to be very important to my children - highlight of their year."
All 135,000 tickets to the festival are already sold out.
