Katherine Heigl will star in dark comedy 'North of Hell'.
The 'Knocked Up' actress is due to play Patrick Wilson's obsessive wife who controls every aspect of his life in Darko Entertainment's new film, Deadline.com reports.
Wilson will portray Don Champage, a successful business tycoon who appears to have it all, but lives in fear of his manipulative wife.
'Skateland's Anthony Burns is on board to direct and is also writing the script based on a story by Carlo Allen, Ted Elrick and Tom Lavagnino.
'North of Hell' will be produced by Burns, A.J. Buckley, Jeff Culotta and Sean McKittrick, with Andrew J. Champagne and Edward H. Hamm Jr. executive producing. Filming is expected to begin in April in Louisiana.
Heigl can next be seen in ensemble comedy 'The Big Wedding', while Wilson stars in James Wan's 'The Conjuring'.
Katherine is known for her vast repertoire of romantic comedies and previously explained that playing funny roles was both a challenge and a "dream come true" for her.
She said: "I have to watch it a little bit and rein myself in and pull back into a realm of realistic humour. That is my challenge and I love it. But I have always, always loved comedy - this is a dream come true for me."
