Carol Vorderman's bloody nose break
Carol Vorderman says there was "blood everywhere" when she broke her nose, and she knew as soon as she had smacked into a wall that her bashed beak was seriously damaged.
Carol Vorderman knew she had broken her nose as soon as she smacked into a wall and saw "blood everywhere".
The 'Loose Women' presenter was certain she had done serious damage to her schnoz after falling down a flight of stairs following a meeting in central London, and while the raven-haired beauty is feeling "fine" despite her bashed beak, she is already "bored to death" of relaxing at home.
Speaking via telephone on the ITV daytime show, she explained: "It was one of those stairs with a corner landing. So I went four steps down, slipped and then went smack into the landing wall. There was blood everywhere and I started screaming, the people waiting for the lift were wondering what was going on.
"I knew as soon as I hit that wall that I'd broken my nose. I cut my eye as well.
"I'm alright, I'm fine, I'm just bored to death. I had an operation that night because it takes about 72 hours to re-set it before you have to re-break it."
Carol faces two weeks off work as a result of her smashed snout, and while she is being looked after by her boyfriend, former Red Arrows pilot Graham Duff, and her friend Cameron, she would also love her 'Loose Women' co-star Denise Welch to come and take care of her.
The 52-year-old star added: "I will see you in a couple of weeks I hope. I want Denise to come and nurse me please!
"Duffy is here and Cameron my friend."
