Nicole Scherzinger wants to double her money
Former Pussycat Doll Nicole Scherzinger wants to double her 'X Factor' deal and earn a huge £1.5 million on the next series of the TV singing competition.
Nicole Scherzinger is holding out for a big payday in her new 'X Factor' deal.
The singer, who was a judge on the last series of the TV talent show, is reported to want to double her money to a huge £1.5 million sum to return for another year.
An insider told the Sunday Mirror newspaper: "[Simon] Cowell has made Nicole an offer but she knows the money she wants and it's double what she got last year.
"She knows that she was the star of the show last year and therefore thinks she should be paid appropriately."
For her first series Nicole, 35, was paid £750,000, which was less than Gary Barlow but more than Tulisa Contostavlos.
However, the source suggested this was because of rushed negotiations whereas now she will play "hardball" to get what she feels she has earned.
They added: "Last year it was all so rushed, she was a last minute replacement for Kelly Rowland, so she couldn't negotiate properly.
"This time around, she is understandably playing hardball. She knows that she is the judge that people are still talking about.
"Nicole sees the role as a job, not just a chance to be on TV. She hopes for an agreement but she won't go back unless terms are right."
