will.i.am: I wanted The Voice series two straight away
will.i.am knew he wanted to sign up to the second series of 'The Voice' as soon as he knew Danny O'Donoghue would also be returning
will.i.am knew he wanted to sign up to the second series of 'The Voice' on the last day of filming season one.
The Black Eyed Peas singer - who is a coach on the talent show alongside Sir Tom Jones, Jessie J and Danny O'Donoghue - was desperate to put pen to paper on a deal for the second series as soon as Danny told him he was keen to return to the programme.
He told BANG Showbiz: "The fact is the first two people who said they were coming back were me and Danny. I didn't wait. After the last taping I was like, 'So what are you going to do next year? Are you going to do it again?' He was like, 'Hell yeah.' And I was like, 'Me too.' On the day of the last show I knew I wanted to come back."
Despite already planning to return to 'The Voice', will insists he would have questioned his decision if Jessie or Tom had quit the programme.
Speaking at the launch of the second series of 'The Voice', he added: "I had reservations but I didn't wait. Say for example Jessie wasn't going to come back then I was like, 'I don't know if I want to come back.' Or Danny didn't want to come back then it would've changed. But when everybody said they wanted to come back it made it easier for me."
'The Voice' returns to BBC One at 7pm on March 30.
