Richard Madeley has revealed the "old gang" - including wife Judy Finnegan - will be taking part in 25th anniversary celebrations for 'This Morning' later this year.

Richard Madeley and Judy Finnigan are returning to 'This Morning'.

The presenting couple - who fronted the daytime TV show between 1988 and 2001 - want to reunite "all the gang" for the programme's 25th birthday celebrations in October.

Richard said: "I can't think of any of the regulars who've popped their clogs, so fingers crossed we'll all be there. It will be great."

Richard - who is still presenting, though wife Judy turned her back on TV to focus on her writing career - also revealed the celebrations will take place at This Morning's former home in Liverpool's Albert Dock.

He said: "I'm not to say too much but Liverpool is very much in the picture.

"We were at Albert Dock last week promoting Judy's novel and we went to where we used to... yeah, it's a café now. It was a strange feeling."

While Richard is excited about the reunion, it is unlikely former host John Leslie - who was hit by unproven rape allegations in 2002 - will attend the celebrations.

A source told The Sun newspaper: "No one is banned from coming but it's unlikely that John will be there. He may feature as part of a montage but we haven't yet decided."
