Stacey Solomon would love to see Sharon Osbourne back on the judging panel of 'The X Factor' rafter her return in 2007.
Stacey Solomon would love to see Sharon Osbourne return to 'The X Factor'.
The 23-year-old singer - who appeared in the sixth series of the show in 2009 - is excited by the rumours suggesting Sharon could be returning to the panel this year, six years after leaving in 2007 when she fell out with fellow judge Dannii Minogue.
Stacey said: "I've heard that rumour [of Sharon returning] - and I think she'd be great! Whenever they shake up the panel I always think: 'No!' But it always ends up working. They know what they're doing."
Stacey - who has sons Leighton, ten months, and Zachary, five this week - was mentored by Dannii on the show, and stays in touch with her whenever she is in the UK, enjoying chatting about her own son, Ethan, two.
She added to Star magazine: "Whenever she comes over from Australia she gets in touch. We're both mums, so there is lots to talk about. I'm so grateful that Dannii was my mentor."
Stacey isn't the only star backing the flame-haired TV personality's return to the show, with 'The Xtra Factor' host and former competitor Olly Murs and current mentor Nicole Scherzinger also rooting her comeback.
Nicole - who was invited by Sharon to be a guest judge the same year she left - previously said: "Sharon Osbourne is the first person that introduced me to 'X Factor' and brought me on as a guest judge, so I'm Team Sharon all the way.
"I absolutely love her and adore her. She's a righteous momma!"
