Gary Lineker: My acting is too bad for soaps

Gary Lineker has admitted he's a bad actor.
The 'Match of the Day' presenter can't see himself following in the footsteps of his wife Danielle Bux - who recently starred in 'Silent Witness' - by taking on a TV role as he thinks his acting in adverts for Walkers Crisps aren't a glowing reference.
Speaking exclusively to BANG Showbiz, Gary said: "I've had very small tiny cameos in two or three movies, but nothing in any soaps like that. My acting abilities in the Walkers' adverts is obviously not shining through enough to get offered but for any particularly good part.
"I don't think I could do 'Coronation Street'. My wife's the actor of the family and she's working hard at it, but it just makes me realise how hard that job is and how it's time consuming doing something that I think is probably over my limit."
The 52-year-old former soccer star - who has appeared in savoury snack's funny adverts since 1994 - added his day job as a host and pundit on BBC's 'Match of the Day' can be stressful, but he tries to keep the show light-hearted.
He said: "It's a serious subject because football is a serious business to a lot of people, but at the same time, you've gotta have a little bit of fun at times. It's just trying to find a balance."
