Samia Ghadie has praised her mother's "mental" support while she competed on 'Dancing On Ice'.
The former 'Coronation Street' actress has a close bond with her mum Patsy, but was shocked when she got up on stage at the celebrity skating contest to back her daughter and skating partner - and real-life boyfriend - Sylvain Longchambon recently.
Samia - who was voted off the show two weeks ago - said: "Can you believe my mum was up dancing on stage with the show's warm-up guy the other week, wearing a T-shirt that read 'Samia and Sylvain'. You're mental, Mum!"
However, Samia admitted Patsy sometimes "drives her crazy" by trying to buy cheap high street clothes for her - including lingerie.
She told Love It magazine: "My mum has got some sort of shopping disorder, too.
"She's obsessed with TK Maxx and she'll turn up with pants and bras that I don't want because they're on discount, and it'll drive me crazy."
In 2011, Samia and her daughter Freya, three, moved back in with her mother following the breakdown of her marriage to Matthew Smith and the 30-year-old beauty found it tough adjusting to being back at home.
She said: "You just can't go back and live with your parents. Even now, when we live down the road from each other, she tries to live my life for me.
"She gives me opinions when I don't ask for them."
