Ant and Dec: Animal acts swamp Britain's Got Talent
'Britain's Got Talent' hosts Ant and Dec have revealed a lot of animals have auditioned for this year's series, including a painting donkey
This year's series of 'Britain's Got Talent' will feature a painting donkey.
The ITV entertainment programme is returning for a seventh run next month and hosts Ant and Dec say a lot of animals have auditioned, following the success of dancing dog Pudsey and his owner Ashleigh Butler last year.
Dec said: "This year we have had more animal acts but they're not as good as Pudsey. We had a donkey which wasn't very good. It painted."
Ant added: "The owner would hold a bit of canvass against the donkey."
However, head judge Simon Cowell wasn't impressed and buzzed the act off.
Speaking on Alan Carr's 'Chatty Man', Dec continued: "Simon said to him, 'Come back when you can do a landscape.' "
While they are busy with their TV hosting duties, the Geordie duo still have time for fun and recalled a time they got stuck in a steam room with 'This Morning' star Holly Willoughby.
Ant said: "Dec's place is very much a bachelor pad. It's very big and has a pool. We have had pool parties in the past there.
"And after the [National Television Awards] one year we all ended up back there celebrating. He has also got a little steam room which is good.
"Me and Dec and Holly Willoughby ended up in the steam room all celebrating our success and we got locked in. The door handle fell off, we got locked in there. Obviously we got out in the end.
"But that was a frantic seven minutes. We said to Holly, 'This is really the end.' "
