Shobna Gulati is joining the panel of ITV chat show 'Loose Women' now her 'Coronation Street' alter ego Sunita Alahan has been confirmed to die in a Rover's Return fire.

The 46-year-old actress is leaving behind her role as Sunita Alahan in ITV's 'Coronation Street' later this year, after 12 years of being in the iconic soap, and is thrilled to be joining the panel of the popular day-time chat show.
She said: "I'm delighted to be joining the 'Loose Women' team. It's a show I have watched and loved for years."
Executive Producer Sharon Powers is also excited to have a new member on the team, adding: "We're thrilled that Shobna will become a Loose Woman - she is a very exciting addition to the team."
Shobna will speak about her new role to regulars Carol Vorderman, Lisa Maxwell, Carol McGiffin and Sherrie Hewson through a phone chat on today's show (08.03.13)
The raven-haired beauty will join the other panellists - consisting of Andrea McLean, Denise Welch, Jane McDonald, Sally Lindsay, Janet Street Porter and Linda Robson - when she takes her place on the programme.
Shobna's alter ego Sunita is to lose her life in a blaze at the soap's pub, the Rover's Return, and the actress recently shared how "sad" it was to step off the Weatherfield cobbles for good.
In a post on her Twitter page, she wrote: "the saddest day my dearest friends who bring u the best entertainment and yet a tue feeling of freedom love #corrie cast and crew
"I was yaying at all the tweet love for sunita tonight thanks so much feel the love xxxx (sic)"
