Jason Gardiner: Karen Barber will be lifetime enemy
'Dancing On Ice' judge Jason Gardiner has vowed to never reconcile with his fellow panellist Karen Barber and admits the pair avoid each other backstage.
Jason Gardiner will "never" be friends with Karen Barber.
The 'Dancing On Ice' judge has come to terms with the fact he will never see eye-to-eye with his fellow ITV skating competition panellist and admits the hot-headed pair ignore each other backstage in order to avoid a fight.
He said: "We tolerate each other and that's probably as good as it's going to get. We didn't speak before this series started - the first time we saw each other was literally at the press conference. As you can imagine, it was quite awkward.
"It's best to just stay clear. There's no desire from either party to hang out and be friends. We're just not each other's cup of tea."
The outspoken Australian thinks Pussycat Doll Ashley Roberts is a welcome addition to this year's panel and the pair have bonded over their appreciation of great choreography and showmanship.
He explained: "I thought it was a stroke of genius to get Ashley [Roberts] on board. I've always felt like the lone voice in the dark trying to fly the flag for performance and choreography. Ashley and I look for the same things."
'EastEnders' hunk Matt Lapinskas, boxer Luke Campbell and gymnast Beth Tweddle will battle it out in the 'DOI' final this weekend (10.03.13).
