Take That want to headline Glastonbury.

The 'Patience' hitmakers - who are made up of Gary Barlow, Mark Owen, Jason Orange, Howard Donald and on/off band member Robbie Williams - are keen to take to the main Pyramid Stage at the iconic music festival, and Mark revealed the group will discuss the possibility when they meet in a fortnight.

He told The Sun newspaper: "I love Glastonbury. I would go there, definitely. We're all meeting up in a few weeks, so we'll see."

Should Take That perform at Worthy Farm - where the festival is based in Somerset, south west England - they look set to join the bill alongside Arctic Monkeys, who will close the Pyramid stage on June 28th in what will be their second appearance as headliners after performing in 2007.

The Rolling Stones have also been rumoured to be headlining and following speculation they have been offered £1 million to play at the spectacle, guitarist Ronnie Wood said last month he is going to try to persuade the rest of the band to take on the gig.

He explained: "Wouldn't it be nice. We've got a meeting next month and that's going to be my first question to them.

"It's something I've always been interested in. I'm going to twist their arms."

Folk rockers Mumford and Sons are also strongly rumoured to be joining the bill for the festival, which runs from June 26 to 30.

Take That

The prototype boy band have re-lit their own fire and returned to cash in those nostalgia dollars, and have proved far more credible than any of us could have imagined. Now reduced to a three-piece as Jason Orange bows out but Gary Barlow, Mark Owen and Howard Donald soldier on.
