Mario Falcone 'sometimes' regrets joining TOWIE
Mario Falcone admits he "sometimes" regrets joining 'The Only Way Is Essex' after having his break-up with Lucky Mecklenburgh played out on the show
Mario Falcone "sometimes" regrets joining 'The Only Way Is Essex'.
The Italian stud was left devastated when his long-term girlfriend Lucy Mecklenburgh moved out due to rumours he had slept with a Sugar Hut club worker and he is now beginning to regret ever joining the ITV show in the first place.
Probed as to whether he regrets singing up to have his love life played out on TV, Mario admitted: "Sometimes. I joined the show as Lucy's boyfriend. I didn't want any drama. I'd come from a successful job as a tailor to this world where whatever I do and say can be used against me."
The 25-year-old star was diagnosed with depression last October and says he hardly recognises his behaviour when he watches himself back and it makes him feel "horrible" to see how he affected his ex-girlfriend's feelings.
Mario continued to NOW magazine: "If any other man's girlfriend cries behind closed doors, you don't see that. But on 'TOWIE' I can see how much I hurt her.
"I love Lucy to bits so being the person who makes her cry on TV is horrible... I was snapping at her all the time and having arguments over nothing."
