Nicole Scherzinger unsure of X Factor return
Nicole Scherzinger has revealed she's still in talks with 'The X Factor' producers about returning as a judge for the new series but is hoping to come back.
Nicole Scherzinger doesn't know if she is returning to 'The X Factor'.
The 'Boomerang' singer - who joined the show last year after previously being a judge on the US version of the contest, and acting as a guest judge in 2010 - hopes to be asked back onto the panel, but says talks with show bosses are still ongoing.
She told the new issue of Star magazine: "There's no official word - everything's up in the air.
"I had the most schamaze time last year and me and the UK rocked it together. You British have always been good to me. When I did my first guest judging on the show, you guys were schamazing.
"If the official talks are right [I'll come back]. The UK is my home. You get my music first. I am American, but I'm British at heart."
Nicole mentored series winner James Arthur, runner-up Jahmene Douglas and controversial contestant Rylan Clarke last year and was pleased she was able to choose her finalists without any intervention from producers.
She said "The producers don't make the choices on the show - they really, truly love that I do.
"I chose Rylan for a reason and was like, 'I don't care what you guys see, you're gonna see a star.' In the end, even Gary Barlow fell in love with him."
