Gareth Thomas has been eliminated from 'Dancing on Ice'.
The former rugby player was forced to bow out of the competition after suffering from severe motion sickness, which led to him being unable to take part Sunday's (03.03.13) Skate Off.
Before the show began the 38-year-old former Welsh international was warned by medical professionals not to fight for his place in the ITV series if he landed in the bottom two.
Despite being plagued by illness all week, Gareth had hoped to progress to from the semi-final.
He tweeted: "The medics have pulled me out of flying for safety reasons. I'm gutted but can't take the risk. Hope I can impress with another skate instead."
But he was sent off stage by concerned presenter Phillip Schofield after his first performance of the night and was unable to continue.
The show's host said: "We saw earlier that Gareth wasn't feeling very well after he skated, he's had a very difficult week."
Gareth admitted he was gutted to leave the competition.
He said: "I understand the reasons why I can't do it but I'm gutted. I have to listen to the advice to the medical people."
As a result, the Skate Off and viewer's vote was also cancelled and anyone who voted was promised a full refund.
Ex-'EastEnders' star Matt Lapinskas, Olympic gymnast Beth Tweddle and boxer Luke Campbell will battle it out to be crowned champion in next week's final.
