The Doctor races up The Shard
The Time Lord and his sexy sidekick Clara Oswald will shatter through The Shard in the brand new episode of sci-fi show 'Doctor Who'
The Time Lord will race to the top of The Shard in the new episode of 'Doctor Who'.
The Doctor, played by Matt Smith, and his new companion Clara Oswald (Jenna-Louise Coleman) will smash through London's new 1,016ft-tall landmark in the BBC One show's long-awaited return to TV screens.
Executive producer Steven Moffat teased: "It's the 50th year of 'Doctor Who' and look what's going on. We're up in the sky and under the sea. We're running round the rings of an alien world and then a haunted house. There's new Cybermen, new Ice Warriors and a never before attempted journey to the centre of the Tardis.
"And in the finale, the Doctor's greatest secret will at last be revealed. If this wasn't already our most exciting year it would be anyway."
The last remaining Gallifreyan and his sexy sidekick will come up against a terrifying new enemy, the Spoonheads, who hide inside people's computer Wi-Fi systems in the debut episode, 'The Bells of St John', which is being billed as a "modern day urban thriller".
Richard E. Grant, who made an appearance as evil Doctor Simeon in the Christmas special, will make a grand return this series, as will the Time Lord's robotic arch-enemy the Cybermen and the new Ice Warriors.
