Alesha Dixon on cheesy joke hunt for Comic Relief
Alesha Dixon has joined a Mini Babybel campaign to go on the hunt to find Britain's cheesiest joke for Comic Relief.
Alesha Dixon is on the hunt to find Britain's cheesiest joke for Comic Relief.
The 'Britain's Got Talent' judge - who is renowned for her cheeky laugh - has joined the Mini Babybel campaign to raise money for the charity by aiming to find a really cheesy gag after "What do you call a boomerang that doesn't work? A stick" was voted the nation's favourite in a recent poll.
Mini Babybel - which conducted the research - will donate 25p for each joke submitted and shared, with a further 5p from every Red Nose Day pack sold going to the charity, and the lucky winner will tell their joke on national TV in an advertisement break.
The cheese company's survey also discovered Billy Connolly is the nation's favourite comedian after he beat the likes of Lee Evans and Eddie Izzard to the prize, and Liverpudlians were voted the best joke tellers.
What's more, 98 per cent of the nation voted men as being better gag-tellers than women, and Southampton was voted the joke capital of Britain as over 68 per cent of its residents crack a joke a day.
Alesha has teamed up with Mini Babybel this Red Nose Day to search for the nation's cheesiest joke and raise money for Comic Relief. One lucky winner will be chosen by Alesha to tell their joke on national TV in the ad break. Visit www.babybel.co.uk to enter.
The nation voted the following comedians as the top five jokers:
1. Billy Connolly
2. Michael McIntyre
3. John Bishop
4. Lee Evans
5. Eddie Izzard
