Gary Barlow to make X Factor return?
Simon Cowell has reportedly asked Gary Barlow to resume his judging role on 'The X Factor' for its final series, despite claiming his performance on the panel was "wooden"
Gary Barlow will reportedly return to 'The X Factor' this year.
The Take That singer has patched up his differences with the show's creator Simon Cowell and the pair are said to be negotiating Gary's grand return to the ITV competition's judging panel.
A source told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "Simon and Gary are in a good place now - and Gary looks a good bet to be back on the show this year.
"ITV, Simon and 'X Factor' execs all met up in the last few weeks. They have come up with a list of judges they want - and Gary is one of them."
The 'Patience' hitmaker was thought to be facing the axe from the show after Simon described his performance as "wooden" and it was rumoured he felt Gary wasn't a core part of the show.
The singer recently hinted he would not be returning this year, saying: "To be honest, I don't know if there is room in my diary for 'X Factor'."
Producers are also said to be trying to secure Spice Girl Mel B for the panel because of her "fresh, bolshy and opinionated" persona, which they hope would liven things up and boost dwindling ratings for the show's final series.
