Michelle Williams' daughter thinks she "can really fly".

The 'Oz the Great and Powerful' star revealed Matilda, seven - her child with late actor Heath Ledger - has been captivated by her mother's role as Glinda the Good Whitch and believes she can recreate the magic she did in the film.

Speaking to Stella magazine, she said: "I fly around in the bubble. My daughter thinks I can really fly ... Matilda went through a phase where she would go up to people in the park and say, 'My mummy is Glinda the Good Witch, she's a fairy princess'.

"My daughter thinks that I could do magic ... I wanted to bring some magic into our lives."

The 32-year-old actress - who is now in a relationship with Jason Segal - admitted she took on the role as a love letter to Matilda, adding they both "needed it" at this stage in their lives, particularly after Heath's death from an accidental overdose in 2008.

She continued: "I think this movie fell into my life at the right time. My daughter and I needed it. I wanted to make something my daughter would feel proud and excited about."
