Samia Ghadie has been voted off 'Dancing on Ice' after losing out to Luke Campbell in a Save Me Skate
Samia Ghadie has been voted off 'Dancing on Ice'.
The 'Coronation Street' star became the eight celebrity to be voted off the ITV series on Sunday night (24.02.13) after suffering a groin injury and landing in the bottom two for the second time alongside Olympic gold medal-winning boxer Luke Campbell but insisted she was happy to exit the show.
She said: "I've loved every second of it here and I'm kind of glad tonight has been our last night because we've gone out on a high."
Each skater was required to incorporate a prop into their routine as part of Prop Week but Samia scored the lowest score of the evening, 28 points, despite performing some daring moves with a hair salon chair, in reference to her character Maria's job as a hairdresser on the soap.
All four judges, including Jason Gardener, unanimously voted to save Luke but praised 30-year-old Samia's performance with her professional partner Sylvain Longchambon after she competed in a Save Me Skate off against Luke despite her groin strain.
Jason complimented her on her attitude throughout the series and said: "Well done coming out doing that under such duress. You can hold your head high."
Luke wowed the judges by using a skipping rope during his routine.
'EastEnders' actor Matt Lapsinskas, former Wales rugby player Gareth Thomas and Olympic gymnast Beth Tweddle will compete alongside Luke in next week's semi-final.
