Keith Chegwin was voted off 'Dancing on Ice' last night (17.02.13).
The presenter lost out in the skate off to 'Coronation Street' actress Samia Ghadie, with Karen Barber, Robin Cousins and Ashley Roberts voting to save her and only Jason Gardiner voting for Keith.
Upon hearing the news, he told presenter Phillip Schofield he had "waited a whole year to be in the show", after having to pull out of a previous series with a rib injury.
He said being on the show was a "fantastic experience", adding: "I can say for a few months, I was an athlete."
He also paid tribute to dance partner Olga Sharutenko, telling Phillip: "Olga has been such a treat, when I go wrong she goes wrong and it makes me look good."
Ironically Keith's exit comes after he gained his best score of the series from the judges - 25 points - for his glam rock routine to T. Rex classic '20th Century Boy'.
Jason had earlier described the routine as like "watching a camp Peter Stringfellow on ice, "without the terrible ponytail" and added: "You have gone from being my guilty pleasure to being my pleasure.
"I love the fact that you do something very different and you rise to the challenge, brilliant."
Karen had also congratulated Keith, saying he was "committed" and gave "100 per cent every week".
Thanking fans on Twitter, Keith wrote: "Thanks 4 voting. But Mr Cousins @therobincousins chose Samia 4 her skating skills. THANKS 2 Jason @officialjasong What a truly lovely man (sic)."
