Danny O'Donoghue too sick to film The Voice
Danny O'Donoghue was forced to pull out of filming for the new series of 'The Voice' after contracting a bug, leaving his fellow coaches to film a promo without him.
Danny O'Donoghue pulled out of filming 'The Voice' due to illness.
The Script frontman was due to join his fellow coaches on the BBC singing competition - Jessie J, Tom Jones and will.i.am - to film a promo for the show's second series, but he was forced to miss the shoot after contracting a "nasty bug".
A source told The Sun newspaper: "The coaches have all been working really hard on the new series in order to make it better than last year. Danny also has commitments with his band but it has obviously all got too much and he has been struck down by a nasty bug.
"Doctors have advised him to rest and he doesn't know when he'll be able to return to filming yet."
The other coaches went ahead and filmed the promo, which will hype the launch of the new series on BBC One next month, but Danny, 32, is expected to film his scenes separately when he recuperates.
The 'Hall of Fame' hitmaker is said to be on bed rest for at least another week and has also cancelled other TV appearances due to take place this week.
It was recently revealed 'The Voice' will receive a revamp for its second series after ratings steadily declined last year as the live shows began. This year's series will introduce a new knockout round and the coaches will have the ability to steal axed singers from rival teams.
