Danniella Westbrook wants permanent Hollyoaks role
Danniella Westbrook would love to make her role in 'Hollyoaks' permanent after having "such great fun" filming 13 episodes as ex-jailbird Trudy
Danniella Westbrook would move to Liverpool to star in 'Hollyoaks' permanently.
The 39-year-old actress - who portrayed Sam Mitchell in 'EastEnders' in the 1990s - is to appear as ex-jailbird Trudy for 13 episodes in the Channel 4 soap, and she would love to be in the Merseyside-based show on a long-term basis because she had "great fun" in the programme and is a big fan of the city.
She exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "I've only done 13 episodes. We had to end it where it ends at the moment because that's how the storyline progressed.
"But if they wanted me for a longer run in the show then I'd move up to Liverpool tomorrow to be in 'Hollyoaks'. I had such great fun doing the show and I love Liverpool. I love the city and I love the people."
Danniella will make her debut in 'Hollyoaks' later this month as the dodgy ex-cellmate of Jacqui McQueen (Claire Cooper), and while the blonde actress was keen to work with her former 'EastEnders' executive Bryan Kirkwood again, she was desperate to star opposite Claire.
She added: "I had a good time working with Bryan on 'EastEnders' and he said to me I'd be working alongside Claire Cooper and I said, 'Yeah, I definitely want to work with Claire.' I just like her as an actress.
"She was fantastic to work with. She really is a fantastic actress."
