Laura Whitmore's Les Miserables tears
TV presenter Laura Whitmore can't wait to swap interviewing people on the small screen for the big screen at the BAFTAs on Sunday (10.02.13), and she is keen to meet Hugh Jackman on red carpet
Laura Whitmore can't wait to meet the cast of 'Les Miserables' at the BAFTAs after she broke down in tears watching the movie.
The 27-year-old TV presenter is excited to meet Hugh Jackman on the red carpet at the iconic awards ceremony on Sunday (10.02.13) after his singing in the musical drama movie - which also stars Anne Hathaway - made her emotional.
She exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "Hugh Jackman is great. He's such a man's man and he's Wolverine but then he can hit those high notes as well.
"I am a big fan of the musical and when I heard it was coming to the big screen and Anne Hathaway was playing Fantine I was devastated because I thought: 'She can't play Fantine, she probably can't even sing!' But she can. And I did cry when I watched it."
As well as Hugh, Laura is excited to meet Meryl Streep on Sunday because she holds the 63-year-old star in high regard.
She added: "I've heard a rumour that Meryl Streep is walking the carpet ... she's not nominated but I think she might be presenting something. She's a legend and I'd just love to meet her."
Laura is keen to catch up with Hollywood hunk George Clooney if she gets the chance.
She joked: "I have interviewed him before, but I will do it again if I have to."
