Matt Lapinskas plans EastEnders return
Matt Lapinskas has revealed his character Anthony Moon could make an appearance for his onscreen brother Tyler Moon's upcoming Walford wedding on 'EastEnders'.
Matt Lapinskas has hinted he could return to 'EastEnders'.
The 'Dancing on Ice' star says his alter-ego Anthony Moon could be making a grand return to the BBC One soap just in time for his brother Tyler Moon's (Tony Discipline) wedding to Whitney Dean, who is played by Matt's real-life girlfriend Shona McGarty.
He told The Sun newspaper: "Shona is very excited about her 'EastEnders' wedding and I'd love to be involved. Tyler might text his brother and ask him to come back, so we'll see what happens there.
"Anthony is now in Spain with his dad and there could be a Moon clan reunion."
Matt doesn't plan on returning to Albert Square full time, however, and would ideally like to be part of a short storyline in which he causes chaos among the Walford residents.
He said: "I'd love to go back - not to stay but to have a beginning, a middle and an end, cause some trouble then leave again. That would be fun."
The actor has admitted he is searching for a future project for when figure skating competition 'Dancing on Ice' comes to an end, and he can't wait to land his next big role.
He explained: "It's a great thing to get myself out there and for people to see me for who I am. And it has also been great to come out of 'EastEnders' and express myself.
"But I miss acting and I want a good script to get my teeth into after this."
