The 51-year-old TV presenter - who reached the finals of the ITV celebrity diving show on Saturday night (02.02.13) - wowed viewers with her slender physique on the show, and she is surprised by the reaction she received.
Speaking to ITV's 'Lorraine', she said: "It's been so amazing, Lorraine. I mean, I'm totally flabbergasted by it. I'm really flattered. I mean it's just been amazing the support and online. Everybody's seen it now, there's no hiding in that bikini. Thank you so much and to everybody who's been so lovely about it."
The former 'Changing Rooms' star has embraced her status as a "role model" for older women, explaining: "I think everyone kept on saying I was a bit of a role model, certainly for the over 50s. I just love that and I'd love to build on that. And if I do empower women or inspire women, I think that's amazing and I'd love to kind of do more about that."
Linda - who finished third in Saturday's final behind 'Benidorm' actor Jake Canuso and winner, Olympic ski jumper Eddie 'The Eagle' Edwards - also revealed how frightened she was when she started training for the show, but it has made her a "stronger person".
She said: "It's made me a stronger person. It was so demanding and it just took so much guts to go out there."
